Artemis Research is a leading Principal Investigator and Patient Focused clinical research company dedicated to advancing medical treatments. Position Overview:
Artemis is looking for a Vaccine Unit Supervisor for the San Diego office. Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the Supervisor's role is to implement operational processes and systems to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction and quality of data. The Supervisor also coaches and mentors all the site staff so that each can reach their highest potential and contribute to a strong performing team. In addition, the Supervisor is the champion for screening, patient retention, and meeting or exceeding the monthly enrollment and financial targets.

Pay Range: Based on Experience
Location: San Diego- no remote work
Work Schedule: Monday & Thursday 8:30 am -5:00 pm; Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 7:00 am - 3:30PM
Required Education and Experience:
- Strong experience in clinical research
- Experience in people management and management best practices is preferred but not required
Description of Responsibilities:
- Staff management including hiring, training, and coaching/mentoring staff with monthly one to one meetings
Manage site workflow to ensure that patients, staff, and Sponsors have the best customer service experience
Oversight of study management by all CRCs
Site facilities management including pharmacy and laboratory
Ensure site meets monthly screening, randomization, and completion/retention goals by assessing scheduling, troubleshooting, and maximizing staff availability
Follow a quality process to ensure the site collects and enters high quality data and to reduce preventable deviations
Ensure the site has high morale and works well as a team
Skills/Competencies:
Strong experience in clinical research and people management and management best practices
Able to ensure site staff follow established systems to optimize efficiency and quality
Able to hire “A” players onto the team
Able to train and develop staff
High degree of organization and planning: Plan, organizes, schedules in an efficient, productive manner, focusing on key priorities
High level of communication: Speaks and writes clearly and articulately without being verbose
The ability to motivate and inspire a team to function at its highest capacity
The ability to motivate and inspire a team to function at its highest capacity
A strong work ethic: Willing to step in to assist the team when needed
A team player who can receive and provide constructive feedback
