Artemis Research is a leading Principal Investigator and Patient Focused clinical research company dedicated to advancing medical treatments. Established in 2008 by colleagues who bring more than 50 years of combined research experience, Artemis specializes in Psychiatry/Neurology, Internal Medicine, and Women’s Health studies. With multiple locations serving Southern California including San Diego, San Marcos and Riverside, each Artemis site is fully equipped to conduct complex clinical research trials. 

Position Overview:

Artemis is looking for a Physician Sub-Investigator in the Riverside location. Under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer and the Principal Investigator, the Sub-Investigator will ensure the safety and welfare of each study subject while in a research study. The Sub-Investigator will conduct the study as specified by the study protocol.

Position Type: Part-time 2-2.5 days/week

Pay Range: TBD based on experience

Travel: Travel to Investigator Meetings and/or other Industry related meetings may be required

Work Schedule:  Our office hours are Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 5:00 pm and Fridays 8:30am – 3:00 pm; this position is part-time and exact schedule will be negotiated.

Required Education and Experience: 

  • M.D. or D.O.
  • Board Certification in Psychiatry, Internal medicine, Family practice or Emergency Medicine
  • Prior clinical research experience for a minimum of 1 year

Description of Responsibilities:  

  • Ensure the safety and welfare of each study subject
  • Have in-depth knowledge of all research protocols
  • Screen potential study subjects according to the protocol’s specific inclusion and exclusion criteria
  • Conduct medical history interviews and physical examinations throughout the subject’s study participation
  • Review EKG’s and lab results
  • Provide medical care as needed during a subject’s participation in a clinical trial
  • Provide home based on-call availability per Artemis standard policy
  • Attend Investigator Meetings (IM) on behalf of Principal Investigator as needed
