Position Overview:
Artemis is looking for a Clinical Research Unit (CRU) Research Assistant for the Clinical Research Unit in the San Diego location. Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the CRU Research Assistant is responsible for conducting sleep lab procedures including Polysomnography hookup, phlebotomy, EKGs, vital signs, ensuring the safety and comfort of research participants, and assisting with research related duties.

Location: San Diego- no remote work
Travel: 5%
Work Schedule: Up to three 12 hour shifts within a seven-day workweek
Required Education and Experience:
Medical Assistant Accreditation
At least 2 years of clinical back office experience
Phlebotomy
High School diploma or GED
Sleep lab experience is a plus
Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
Description of Responsibilities:
Accurately secure sleep electrodes to subjects
Utilize sleep clinic montages appropriately and accurately
Perform computer equipment calibrations
Collect study related sleep procedures and time points defined in the source documents
Complete PSG worksheets accurately and thoroughly
Upload sleep tests into the proper designated portals
Troubleshoot technical equipment issues and communicate any issues promptly to the Sleep Lead and/or Director of Operations
Maintain inventory of sleep equipment, office supplies, food and beverages
Properly sanitize sleep equipment
Store and organize sleep equipment
Communicate with third party vendors for laundry, food and janitorial needs
Perform vital sign assessments, EKGs, urine drug screens, urine pregnancy tests, phlebotomy and other assessments as needed
