With multiple locations serving Southern California including San Diego and Riverside, each Artemis site is fully equipped to conduct complex clinical research trials.
Position Overview:
Artemis is looking for a Clinical Research Unit (CRU) Research Assistant for the Clinical Research Unit in the San Diego location. Under the supervision of the CRU Manager, the CRU Research Assistant is responsible for conducting sleep lab procedures, phlebotomy, EKGs, vital signs, medication dispensation, ensuring the safety and comfort of research participants, and assisting with research related duties.

Pay Range: $15-$18/ hour based on experience
Location: San Diego- no remote work
Work Schedule: Up to three 12 hour night shifts within a seven-day workweek
Preferred Education and Experience:
Medical Assistant Accreditation
At least 2 years of clinical back office experience
Phlebotomy
High School diploma or GED
Sleep lab experience is a plus
Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
Description of Responsibilities:
Ensure safety and welfare of each research participant
Check vital signs and record daily information in the participant’s chart
Collect and perform basic laboratory tests to include urine pregnancy test and urine drug tests
Draw blood samples
Perform ECGs
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation related to research participants
Prepare daily meals and perform light housekeeping duties
Any other duties assigned by CRU Supervisor
