Our mission is to successfully habilitate eligible individuals by diverting them from the traditional criminal justice system and providing them with the tools they need to lead a productive and law-abiding lifestyle while improving mental health recovery and successful re -entry into the community.

  • Evaluate and refer clients to appropriate service modalities where they will receive mental health services and access to various benefits, as well as housing and supportive services. Services include, crisis intervention, case management, transitional housing, and life skills counseling in a field setting. Program participants will have will be involved with criminal justice system as well as suffering from co-occurring disorders.

Responsibilities:

Under limited supervision, the Senior Clinical Program Manager for DHS will:

  • Work in close coordination with DHS and senior VOALA management to ensure program objectives are achieved
  • Direct a full range of clinical, professional and para-professional employees in efficient program operations
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations to senior management for program changes and improvements
  • Monitor program compliance to funding sources' regulations as well as internal policies and procedures
  • Advise senior management regarding future program direction
  • Collaborates with other VOALA program management for cohesive service delivery
  • Develop and maintain inter-agency and community relationships
  • Coordinate in-service training events for staff
  • Assure high quality of service

Required Background and Skills:

Education:

  • MSW, MFT, Master’s in a related field, or MD (psychiatry) and an unrestricted license – LMFT, LCSW, or MD (Psychiatry)

Experience:

  • Minimum of five years’ experience working with under-served populations, re-entry population, people in recovery, and/or homeless individuals using a Harm Reduction approach
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a human services leadership role managing individuals with diverse backgrounds
  • Minimum of two years of program administration and management of budget oversight
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Effective written and oral communications skills (English)  
  • Federal Clearance and Background check
  • Valid California driver's license, insurance and reliable transportation

Preferred for this Position:

  • Direct experience with homelessness, addictions, under-served and/or prison re-entry programs a plus
  • Bilingual spanish preferred
