To support our continued growth, we are hiring a Product Designer with strong project management and communication skills to design great digital products and ensure user experience is supported by accessible, delight-filled, and intuitive interfaces consistent with best UI design principles. This position is based out of our Portland office and reports to our VP of Product & Engineering.
In this role, you’ll work closely with our Product, Engineering, and Customer teams to interpret and deliver the visual presentation, usability, and outcomes of an articulated and maintained design, on-time and insync with development cycles. You'll craft, test, and evolve our design aesthetic, create and refine application wireframes, storyboards, user and process flows, mock-ups and site maps, as well as create, organize and curate company assets to support best use and brand consistency. In addition, you'll run usability tests and grow and manage a cohesive, lightweight design system to support product development, all the while owning and articulating your decisions and supporting rationale.
What We Must Have
3+ years’ experience in a dedicated user-centered design role (including initial concepts and discovery, user flows, visual design assets, and prototypes).
Experience in a cross-functional Agile team environment.
Experience collecting data-driven insights from effective product testing and converting them into visually satisfying interfaces ready to be tested again.
Nice To Have (but not required)
Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Design, HCD or similar.
Experience with design systems, tools, and supporting and maintaining design processes.
Knowledge of software development and data architecture.
