Finance Leader (Remote Position)

Job Description

What This Role is About

The Finance Leader will lead Finance, Accounting, and Business Operations in our organization.

Finance, Accounting, and FP&A
  • With CEO, lead preparation for and development of materials for quarterly Board of Directors meeting
  • Participate in Board of Directors meetings alongside CEO
  • Lead monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close processes to produce accurate and timely financial statements and reports
  • Lead, manage and coach the Finance and Accounting team (internal team and/or external outsourced partners) on general accounting practices and processes
  • Develop and deliver reporting solutions surrounding cash balances, collections and revenue, accounts payable, journal entries, trend analysis and reconciliations
  • Lead and manage all Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) workstreams, including budgeting and forecasting (rolling and static)
  • Manage all aspects of the annual audit
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts for the accounting and finance functions to include review, recommendation, and implementation of processes, and software to create efficiencies
  • Analyze spending trends and look for opportunities to streamline and eliminate costs
  • Oversee processes such as, 401(k) reconciliations, employee expense reports and budgets
  • Administer and refine the Sales Team Commission Plan as needed
Business Operations
  • Lead and coordinate all legal work-streams, internally and with external Counsel teams
  • Manage Process Analyst to document and improve all core processes of organization
  • Co-Facilitate effective Leadership meetings with VP of People Ops (Planning sessions, Leadership Level 10 Meetings)
  • Oversee internal cross-functional data and reporting operations tool to drive performance through data-driven decisions
  • Develop and maintain Company Scorecards, Dashboards and Key Performance metrics – drive accountability across teams
  • Work with the CEO and leadership team to plan, prioritize, and execute strategic and opportunistic projects/initiatives

  • Substantial experience in Finance and/or Accounting with 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Experience preparing for and participating in Board of Director meetings
  • Bachelors Degree required, MBA highly desired
  • Public Accounting experience preferred
  • A Microsoft Excel Jedi who understands sophisticated formulas, pivots and macros
  • Ability to use all aspects of Accounting software
  • Strong project management skills
  • A solid leadership presence and high Emotional IQ
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Healthcare and/or SaaS experience preferred
  • If remote, must be willing and able to travel to Scottsdale once per month
