Frontend Web Developer

Position:

We are looking for a Frontend Web Developer to join our growing web team. As a member of our team in Vietnam, you will be involved in Front End coding stage of the web development process. You will perform hands-on tasks for the company’s web activities aligned with marketing initiatives, website projects, and improvements. This role is integral to OPSWAT branding and image.  

What You Will Be Doing:

• Develop Front End side both Staging and Production versions of our corporate website (www.opswat.com, portal.opswat.com) using HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Collaborate with designers to turn graphical mockups and wireframes into elegantly coded web pages and multilingual microsites
• Collaborate with product management to support process improvements, which guide the development and sustainability of corporate websites
• Document development work, both in the code and in our internal documentation
• Diagnosing and fixing website related issues

What We Need From You:

• Proficient with HTML, CSS(SCSS), JavaScript (ES6)
• Basic knowledge of MySQL and PHP
• Familiar with build tools such as Gulp/Grunt
• Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, responsiveness, general web functions and standards
• Good English language oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule aligned with a global team
• Fast learner, proactive, excellent communicator, and get-things-done mindset

It Would Be Nice If You Had experience in:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Front-end (web GUI) experience
• Understanding of W3C standards and building frontends with responsive design, usability, and optimization techniques
• Experience with PHP CMS (WordPress, Drupal, Craft)
• Experience working with template engines/languages like Twig, Liquid, etc.
• Experience with modular driven development
• Experience with MongoDB
