Engineering Manager

The Position 

We are looking for a seasoned hands-on software engineering manager who will lead a team that focused on building a Malware Analysis Solution (MAS). You will have a strong software programming background with the right personality to lead and set an example for the software development team. This is an exciting opportunity to create a Malware Analysis Solution and bring it to be recognized as a top tier product in the market. The Software Engineering Manager will work across software and hardware, you will oversee the development of an appliance to be used on-premise. You will have an opportunity to build a new team and work with both local and remote engineering teams around the world. 

What You Will Be Doing 

• Drive the execution and delivery of engineering goals by collaborating with cross-functional teams, architects, and product managers 

• Build a new local team and work with our global locations  

• Drive technology roadmap, manage initiatives, and development life cycle using Scrum/Agile methodology 

• Being part of the overall architecture and key components design for the current and future framework 

• Proactively communicate issues and resolve escalations with customer-facing teams like support and sales 

• Supervise training and development of software engineering staff 

• Keep up-to-date with modern development technologies and methodologies  

• Motivate the product team to go above and beyond with continuous delivery and innovation 

What We Need From You 

• Ability to initiate design and implement a new product from end to end 

• Proven experience with implementing software engineering industry best practices and SDLC, including coding standards, code reviews, SCM, CI, build processes, testing, and operations 

• Ability to mentor engineers and help them with career growth 

• Experience in collaboration with engineer teams in multiple countries 

• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to present complex issues to a wide range of audiences including executives, partners/vendors, internal teams, and external audiences 

• Experience with agile development, rapid release cycles, and supporting customer-oriented solutions 

• Strong project management skills

• Promote and develop A-player team members

• Experience with full-stack server-side development and microservice structures 

• Cybersecurity domain experience, especially malware analysis or network security.
