Events Production Intern

Job Description

About You:

You are interested in learning about event production, running event programs, and creating community through meaningful interactions. You are a detail-oriented and tireless perfectionist.  You are calm, cool and collected no matter what is happening. There’s no task too small and you’re equally happy to carry cases of water, check people in, work with vendors, do research, write web copy, and manage a team of volunteers. You are flexible and can adapt quickly to changing circumstances while keeping your eye on the highest priorities and hold yourself accountable. Most importantly, you’re a team player that’s ready for a huge and exciting challenge and want to learn from an extremely collaborative and high producing team.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be part of the front lines team for all Notley events - Philanthropitch, Startup Games, happy hours, educational events, panels, etc.

  • You’ll learn how to be resourceful and creative planner of event logistics by providing on-site event assistance as well as logistical planning support in our East Austin office

  • You may get tapped by additional teams for project support including marketing, operations, and programming

Requirements:

  • Deep interest in learning about how events contribute to a larger community building strategy

  • Excellent written communication and collaboration skills

  • The ability to manage competing priorities

  • Proactive problem solving skills

  • Some exposure to event planning

  • Must live in Austin, TX
