What You'll Do:
We are looking for a Pre/Post Sales Consultant to support the Sales team by providing software demonstrations, responding to technical customer questions, supporting the creation of customer proposals/bids, and working with customers to understand their needs and how Gro’s platform and services can provide benefit.
This role will suit someone who has worked in a similar position, delivering product demonstrations in a customer facing role, ideally for a platform company. The role will require building a strong knowledge of the data platform and the different user interfaces (web app, APIs, Tableau, Excel, and other data connectors and their capabilities). A working knowledge of the general agriculture market, including climate based information, would be beneficial.
Interact with the Sales team to gain an understanding of the customer, in general. and the specific business area to prepare each demonstration of the platform and services
Consult with the Sales and Analyst teams to identify data, insights, and/or services that are relevant to the prospect
Provide demonstrations of the software and/or insights to prospects
Set up and support customers during/through on-boarding and project engagement
Work with Product team to secure feedback from customers and gain understanding of new/forthcoming features
Act as liaison with customers, internal teams, and partners to ensure a smooth transition from sales to operations/project execution
As a member of the operations team, applicant will be required to coordinate and manage work on customer support issues
What You have:
Extremely strong communication, presentation, and social skills. Able to speak effectively with a wide range of business and technical audiences
Excellent technical and business skills, including project-management knowledge
Proficient using data analysis/visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Clik)
Ability to understand and use Python
Proficient using Microsoft or Google “business suite” (Word/Docs; Excel/Sheets; PowerPoint/Slides)
Ability to prioritize projects and deliverables
Relevant industry/domain expertise (business acumen) in business analytics software, data/decision science or consulting services for one or more industry verticals, e.g., Commodities Trader, Food & Beverage, Financial Services
Experience in selling analytic applications and services; and/or selling trading platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters/Refinitiv, etc.)
Expertise in software and technology platforms that collect, manage, analyze. and visualize data
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
3+ years relevant experience
- Interest in ag and food sectors, though deep knowledge not required
