What You'll Do:

Gro Intelligence is looking for a Marketing Associate to own key marketing projects to attract and engage our customers. In partnership with the Sales and Customer Success teams, you will ensure that the details are handled and prospects have a great experience - and over time, you will build the skills to run projects on your own.

The Marketing Associate role is ideal for someone who wants to understand the complex evolution of unique agriculture and climate intelligence. This role seeks to understand many types of customers, including:

  • Food & Beverage - the companies involved in processing raw food materials, packaging and distributing them.

  • Agribusiness - the businesses involved in all steps to send agricultural goods to market.

  • Retail - the companies selling food directly to consumers.

  • Inputs (seed, fertilizer, feed, machinery, and fuel) - the businesses involved in selling all resources involved in producing food and farm commodities.

  • Financial and physical traders of commodities

Responsibilities:

  • Project manage marketing programs to attract customers to Gro

  • Run the day-to-day details of Gro's webinar program

  • Post weekly social media posts 

  • Work with marketing and sales leads to develop content to attract new prospects and users and develop and implement appropriate engagement strategies

  • In the sales process, build materials to align Gro Intelligence products to the multiple customer types

  • Once the sale is complete, build campaigns to drive adoption of the Gro platform 

  • Build and track internal metrics to show the effectiveness and ROI of your marketing programs

What We're Looking For:

Minimum qualifications:

  • 1-3 years professional experience, ideally trained in marketing or creating presentations and analyses

  • Enjoy problem solving and creating processes/analytics to solve problems 

  • BA/BS degree with evidence of academic and extracurricular excellence

  • Solid grasp of technical concepts - you don’t have to be a software engineer but you have to be able to explain software and be able to use software platforms 

  • Ability to understand the goal of a project to execute thoroughly

  • Very organized, very detail oriented

  • Strategic, disciplined, and drives projects forward

  • Exceptional communication skills, especially as a writer

  • Team player: Aggressive toward the problem, collegial with colleagues

    • Humility and openness are non-negotiable

    • A positive, can-do attitude. Successful candidates are gritty and resilient

  • Professional polish and a well-developed sense of humor

  • Comfort in informal and fast-paced environments

Strong candidates may also have:

  • Interest in climate or with agriculture, food/beverage, consumer products, commodities, or financial services

  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills

  • Experience with data products, either as a consumer or producer

  • Experience writing copy for and managing social media channels

  • Experience with Zoom and hosting digital events

  • Experience designing email marketing campaigns
