Route Service Sales Rep / Delivery Driver - Full Time

Job Description

A fast-growing, mission-driven healthy school meal foodservice company is seeking a reliable and friendly Route Service Sales Representative to join our energetic team and help grow customer accounts. The ideal candidate will possess super customer service skills and flexibility to work with Gourmet Gorilla staff and customers. In this position you will have the opportunity to gain skills and experience, grow within the company, and help us achieve our mission of providing nutritious meals to all children. You should have strong moral character, with a willingness and appreciation for open dialogue and transparency.

The Route Service Sales Rep will deliver meals to established customers along a determined route as well as sell Gourmet Gorilla services and products to potential new customers along the same route. It is a physical, fast-paced, indoor/outdoor position which requires delivering and picking up meals from customers, but you will be the face of Gourmet Gorilla to our customers and must work to build rapport with key decision makers, ensure quality standards and pro-actively solve customer concerns.

Essential Duties

• Packing truck with delivery items
• Checking and confirming delivery items
• Deliveries in and around Chicago
• Growing existing customer base by upselling and cross-selling additional products and services
• Working with Client Account team to manage sales leads and new customers
• Delivering quality customer service to customers

Job Details

• Full Time Position Hours: 6 am– 2 pm (approx.)
• Days: 5 days a week, Monday – Friday
• Location: 1200 W. Cermak, Pilsen neighborhood
• Start: Immediately
• Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 hr

Requirements

• 2-3 years driving experience
• Sales experience preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Clean driving record & background check
• Applicant must be reliable, punctual, presentable, and pleasant
• Applicant must have strong communication and presentation skills
• Knowledge of Chicagoland streets and geography a plus
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and occasionally climb stairs
