About the Role
Braintrust is seeking an experienced leader and grassroots organizer who is passionate about helping spread economic opportunity more equitably around the world via community building. You will be responsible for engaging our existing global community of over 2,000 technical talent (soon to be 10,000+), empowering them with information and job opportunities, and delighting them with creative programming and events. You will build a Community Leaders program to create upskilling, reskilling and networking opportunities, and work with our Marketing team to share talent success stories and show the impact that Braintrust talent is making on the world.
Responsibilities:
Communicate regularly with our talent in Discord. Become a trusted source of news and information of things happening within the Braintrust Network. Listen, respond to, and delight in feedback from our users.
Lead a calendar of existing events that generate engagement, growth, and belonging with our freelance talent community. Creatively promote each event to increase attendance, develop a thoughtful and interactive agenda, and collect feedback from the participants so you can continue to raise the bar with each subsequent event. Develop new programs to help fill knowledge gaps, improve job fill rate, and deepen the relationship among community members.
Build and manage a team of Talent Community Leaders to serve as extensions of the Braintrust core team. Utilize their knowledge to better understand the talent experience and needs of the community. Build the toolkit and playbooks to enable the Community Leaders to self-organize programming and initiatives to address those needs and build a stronger community.
Surface and develop content from within our community that we can share via our blog, newsletters, social media to show the world the impact they are making through their work.
Assist in efforts to bring new talent to the platform via community member referrals. Support in communications and tactics that incentivize talent to refer friends and colleagues to the Braintrust platform.
Partner with internal stakeholders to harness the power and influence of our community to support major campaigns and initiatives.

Requirements:
5+ years of experience in community management
Proven ability to manage a large online community and audience
Experience in social media, content & events
Highly autonomous
Prior management/ leadership experience
Highly organized and operationally efficient, able to work on a wide variety of projects daily
Thrive in a remote only environment
