Position Overview: 

Artemis is looking for a Clinical Research Unit (CRU) Research Assistant for the Clinical Research Unit in the San Diego location.  Under the supervision of the Clinical Research Unit Supervisor, the CRU Research Assistant is responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of research participants, assisting with research related duties, and with daily living needs of the participants.

Position Type: Part-time  

Pay Range:  $15-$18/ hour based on experience with benefits available for full time 

Location: San Diego- no remote work 

Work Schedule:  Two 12 hour day shifts within a seven-day workweek 

 

Required Education and Experience:   

  • High School diploma   

  • Medical Assistant Accreditation preferred 

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus  

 

Description of Responsibilities:   

  • Ensure safety and welfare of each research participant  

  • Check vital signs and record daily information in the participant’s chart 

  • Collect and perform basic laboratory tests to include urine pregnancy test and urine drug tests 

  • Draw blood samples 

  • Perform ECGs 

  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation related to research participants 

  • Prepare daily meals and perform light housekeeping duties 

  • Assist with morning Sleep Lab procedures as applicable 

  • Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor
